WHAT IS SPRAVATO (ESKETAMINE)

Spravato is a nasal-spray form of esketamine, a ketamine derivative used in-clinic for adults with treatment-resistant depression. Temporary effects can include dissociation, changes in blood pressure, nausea, dizziness, and sleepiness, usually beginning within 40 minutes and easing within two to four hours, fewer than 7% of patients in long-term studies discontinued due to side effects. You'll be monitored on-site at every visit.


Before you begin, your psychiatrist will conduct a full safety screening and walk you through any risks relevant to your history.

Spravato (esketamine) and ketamine are related but not the same treatment. Ketamine can be delivered intravenously, orally, or intramuscularly and is not FDA-approved for depression. Esketamine is FDA-approved and delivered intranasally within a certified clinic program with required monitoring - a meaningfully different clinical and regulatory framework.
